As if the number of unwanted apps coming on new smartphones wasn’t already big enough, Samsung and Spotify decided to expand their partnership with a new agreement that brings the music service pre-installed on all devices sold by the South Korean firm.
Spotify announces in a press release that their app coming pre-installed on Samsung smartphones is a continuation of the collaboration between the two companies that was first revealed in August 2018.
As a result, all new Samsung phones will be pre-loaded with Spotify, including the recently-released Galaxy S10, S10, and S10e, but also the 5G version, Galaxy Fold, and a number of Galaxy A devices.
Additionally, customers of new Samsung phones in the United States will be provided with six months of free access to Spotify premium, and the offer can be redeemed straight from the pre-installed app.
