Xiaomi is likely to record a major market share increase this year, according to a new forecast, with the company likely to secure some 13 percent of the entire mobile market.
Strategy Analytics explains there’s a chance Samsung would remain the world’s leading smartphone company despite Apple shortly taking over the top spot, but throughout the year, the Cupertino-based iPhone maker would stick to the second position.
Xiaomi, on the other hand, will remain the number three name in the charts, with a market share increase from 11 percent to 13 percent.
Overall, there’s a chance 2021 would witness the sale of 1.4 billion smartphones, a minor increase from 1.3 percent last year.
