A few new Huawei smartphone models have started showing Booking.com ads directly on the lock screen, and it’s easy to see why the owners are none too happy about it.
When you spend a lot of money of a premium smartphone, you don’t expect to get ads on the lock screen or in any other part of the device. There are a few companies out there, like Alcatel for example, that shows ads directly from system apps, but that only happens with low-end devices.
Not to mention the fact that Huawei is now in the middle of a much bigger problem that’s likely to complexly sink the company altogether, at least on the international stage. Following the inclusion of Huawei on a blacklist in The United States, the company can’t do business with American firms, which is really, really bad.
