Samsung to Launch Galaxy P30 Smartphone with LCD, In-Display Fingerprint Sensor
Rumor has it that Samsung is hard at work to get the in-display fingerprint sensor ready for its Android smartphones, but as it turns out, the Galaxy S10 coming next year may not be the first model to get this tech.
Instead, Samsung is believed to be working on a new line of phones called Galaxy P30 and P30+. The two devices may be unveiled at the company’s event next month, and according to recent speculation, could use an LCD screen.
This is surprising, to say the least, as Samsung builds its very own OLED panels that are used not only on its models, but also on rival devices like Apple’s iPhone.
However, with the target markets being China and India, both the P30 and the P30+ are supposed to be more affordable, so sticking with LCD is a way to keep the price as low as possible.
