Over the past few days, we’ve seen many Samsung Galaxy Note 7 users that reported that they’re units have caught fire or downright exploded when charging. The users claimed that the units were charging with the original Samsung charger, which would indicate that they weren’t at fault for the incident.
A report comes from Yohapnews in South Korea, which mentions that Samsung could soon announce a recall of its Galaxy Note 7 units because of faulty batteries. The report mentions that the units sold in South Korea and abroad in less than a week will be recalled.
Apparently, a company official made the announcement stating that the cause of the reported explosions would be the battery inside the phone. The official said under anonymity that “The most important thing is the safety of our customers and we don’t want to disappoint our loyal customers.”
