Samsung announced its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, at the end of March, about one month later than the Galaxy S7’s unveil from last year. Pre-orders for the smartphones started in select markets in April, while the phones were gradually released in more countries around the world.
And now, Samsung has just revealed that Galaxy S8 sales surpassed the 5 million mark. “Although we cannot provide detailed figures, the sales are going smoothly around the globe. The combined sales already are beyond 5 million units,” a Samsung official was quoted in a report.
The smartphone maker intends to make the Galaxy S8 available in 120 countries by the end of this month, including China.
