Samsung is expected to announce a new smartphone in the Galaxy S series this month, a rugged version of the standard Galaxy S8, which was released earlier this year. The smartphone has just made an appearance on Geekbench and some of its key specs were revealed.
According to a report, the Galaxy S8 Active will come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform and 4GB of RAM, same as the other two Galaxy S8 smartphones. It will run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and support Qi wireless charging.
The rugged Galaxy S8 Active managed to record a score of 1942 during the single-core test and 6394 in the multi-core one, quite similar to the results the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ recorded. The battery capacity … (read more)
