The Galaxy S10 5G is Samsung’s newest and greatest smartphone at this point, supporting 5G speeds in markets where such networks are already available.
But as some customers found the hard way, there’s a long way from promising 5G speeds to actually delivering them, especially when an inconsistent experience is being offered.
This is what happens in South Korea, according to a report from Business Korea, as customers are now complaining that the Galaxy S10 5G sometimes loses data connections and the device needs to be restarted multiple times to restore 5G connectivity.
The Galaxy S10 5G comes with separate antennas to switch from 5G to 4G in areas where the 5G signal isn’t strong enough. But as per the cited source, the data connection is dropped entirely in some cases, despite Samsung offering several updates to resolve this behavior.
