Phone catching fire every now and then has become a common thing after the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 saga, but devices that start emitting smoke all of a sudden are nonetheless terrifying especially during a flight.
Korean Air passengers traveling from Incheon to Guam on Sunday know this the best, as a phone, whose brand and model were not disclosed, filled the cabin with smoke in the middle of the flight.
Flight attendants noticed the smoke rising near a seat and rushed to put out the potential fire using no less than four fire extinguishers, according to a report from Korea Times.
The airplane landed safely at the A.B. Won Pat International Airport in Guam, with no other damages, no phone explosion, and no injuries caused to passengers or cabin crew.
