OnePlus 5 Codenamed A5000 Arrives at China Regulatory Agency
OnePlus is expected to launch a new flagship smartphone later this year and recent rumors say that it will carry the OnePlus 5 moniker, thus skipping the number 4, which is considered bad luck in China. The formal term for this is tetraphobia.
The OnePlus 5 carrying model number A5000 was spotted in the database of China’s Radio Regulation Authority, according to AndroidPure. The OnePlus 3 had model number A3000, while the 3T carried the codename A3010, which means that the A5000 is most likely the upcoming OnePlus 5.
