In the past years, Nokia has been using MWC events in order to announce new smartphones and other types of devices. And it seems that the company will do the same next year, as Nokia has announced that its CEO will be attending the Mobile World Congress 2017, and he could introduce new phones.
MWC 2017 is scheduled to take place between February 27 to March 2, and it’s the perfect opportunity for many smartphone makers to announce their latest devices. Nokia’s CEO Rajeev Suri is said to deliver a keynote at the trade fair and the company is expected to announce at least one Android Nokia-running smartphone.
After the partnership with Microsoft fell through, Nokia decided to license its commercial rights for the brand to HDM Global for the next decade. The first phones made by HDM Global are expected to be announced this year and might be made available for purchase by the end of 2016.
