Motorola is working on new iterations in the Moto Z series, smartphones that will be the successors to last year’s Moto Z, Moto Z Force and Moto Z Play. More information about the Moto Z2 Play has just surfaced, revealing a battery capacity smaller than its predecessor.
Motorola is planning to release a slimmer and lighter Moto Z2 Play smartphone, one that will be 6mm thick and weight 145 grams. Moto Z2 Play will be 1mm thinner and 20 grams lighter than last year’s model.
But in order to achieve a slimmer device, Motorola was forced to compromise on battery capacity. Moto Z Play features a battery of 3,510mAh, while its successor is said to draw power from a 3,000mAh battery, according to VentureBeat.
