LG will announce a new smartphone during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this month and the company has been teasing the new G6 for quite some time now. Meanwhile, information about its upcoming V30 has started to surface.
LG V30 will feature a Snapdragon 835 SoC and have 6GB of RAM, according to a post on Weibo (via AndroidPure). LG’s upcoming G6 will feature Snapdragon 821, reportedly because Samsung has dibs on the initial supply, for its Galaxy S8 flagship to be released next month.
As a result, LG had to either release the G6 later this year, possibly in May or June, or incorporate the SD821 and launch a smartphone with the latest SD835 later this year. The V30 will be LG’s phone with the latest Qualcomm processor inside. Recent reports also indicate that LG will be moving its flagship series from the G line to the V series.
