It’s not necessarily a secret that LG’s plan to become a global leader in the mobile market has pretty much failed, so the company has carefully looked into all of its options lately.
And this included selling the mobile business completely, though according to Korean newspaper DongA Ilbo, this plan has already failed. And while little specifics have been provided in this regard, it looks like LG is ready to go for plan B in this regard.
And to be honest, this isn’t necessarily surprising. LG’s last option appears to be giving up on mobile phones completely, so the company is pondering closing down its mobile communication unit.
