Larger Samsung Galaxy S8 to Be Dubbed S8+, Leaked Logo Reveals

On March 29, Samsung intends to announce two new smartphones in the Galaxy S series, and a leaked logo reveals that the larger variant will be named Galaxy S8+. The logo was leaked by reputable tipster Evan Blass.

The standard Galaxy S8 is expected to feature a 5.8-inch display, while the Galaxy S8+ will have a 6.2-inch screen. Samsung won’t release a flat variant of the Galaxy S8, as it seems that the company has decided to bet exclusively on dual-edge curved displays.

The logo also suggests that Samsung will drop the “Edge” moniker, used in the previous two predecessors of the Galaxy S8. The moniker for the larger variant of its flagship contains the “+” symbol, also used with the Galaxy S6 edge+, a smartphone that was released on the same day as the Galaxy Note 5.
