Google has just released the distribution numbers for the first month of summer, revealing some minor changes in the share of Android versions on the market. Android Nougat is now installed on 9.5% of devices on the market.
The latest Android version saw a gain of 2.4%, increasing from 7.1% last month. Android 7.0 Nougat rose to 8.9% from 6.6%, while 7.1 Nougat saw a minor increase from 0.5% in May to 0.6% in June.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow maintained its share at 31.2%, same as last month and the month before. However, Marshmallow finally managed to surpass the previous leader in the chart, Lollipop, which now stands at a share of 30.8%, down from 32% last month.
