A few months ago, Huawei had managed to sell about 100 million smartphones worldwide and it seemed that the company might actually manage to reach its year goal before the end of December. Huawei’s VP just announced that the smartphone maker has set another record.
Huawei’s Senior Vice President stated in a recent interview that Huawei sold 140 million smartphones this year, a new record for the Chinese smartphone maker, according to GizmoChina. Last year, Huawei announced that it sold 108 million smartphones, which means that this year the company sold by 30 million more phones.
Huawei is currently the third largest smartphone maker in the world, after Samsung and Apple, and the company is aiming at surpassing the manufacturer of iPhones by 2018. Huawei managed to sell over 10 million P9 smartphones this year and it intends to raise the number to 12 million u… (read more)
