Huawei was at one point the most ambitious phone maker in the entire world, as it wanted to overtake both Samsung and Apple to eventually become the biggest name in the industry.
In many ways, the company proved on more than one occasion that this was totally doable, especially as its growth happened at an impressive pace.
But in mid-May 2019, the United States decided to blacklist Huawei, essentially blocking it not only from working together with other American companies but also forbidding the use of any piece of software or hardware developed by a firm founded on American soil.
Huawei’s drop since them has been massive, with the company losing ground in the mobile market in the favor of other companies like Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO.
