As expected, Huawei has just unveiled the new Honor 9 smartphone with a dual-camera setup on the back and a 5.15-inch display. The smartphone will be made available for purchase on June 16 at Vmall and a number of other retailers in China.
Honor 9’s internal spec sheet confirms previous rumors, which pointed towards a 5.15-inch 1080p display with DCI-P3 color space, also featured on Apple’s iPhone 7 and Samsung’s Galaxy S8. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top.
Inside, the Honor 9 runs a Kirin 960 chipset, which was also featured on the Huawei P10 and Mate 9. RAM capacity is 4GB or 6GB, while the phone is offered in multiple options in terms of internal storage, including 64GB or 128GB, both expandable using a microSD card.
