It’s pretty clear by now that Nokia stole the show at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade fair, but that’s probably because Samsung did not reveal its new Galaxy S flagship.
Nevertheless, at least one company has decided to ride the waves of hype and announced a “Nokia 3310 killer” that will sell for no less than $3,000.
Considering that we’re talking about a feature phone, the amount customers have to pay to own one seems outrageous. Not to mention that the Nokia 3310 will sell for just €49 outright.
However, Gresso Meridian is a luxury phone, which explains the high price. According to the Russian company, only 999 units will be made available for purchase, as each of these feature phones will take up to 18 hours to assemble.
