Google Fixes 26 Vulnerabilities in the Android Security Patch for October 2018
Google released today the Android Security Patch for October 2018, addressing multiple security vulnerabilities and fixing the most annoying issues reported by Pixel and Nexus users lately.
Consisting of the 2018-10-01 and 2018-10-05 security patch levels, the Android Security Patch for October 2018 fixes a total of 26 security vulnerability across several components, including the Android framework, media framework, system, and kernel components. The most severe vulnerability patched in this update could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
“The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in Framework that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.
