The personal digital assistant market is very competitive, as it’s not just handset makers that are trying to get a piece of the pie but also giants like Amazon. Google’s Assistant, Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana, Amazon’s Alexa and soon Samsung’s Bixby (or whatever the name) are fighting each other for market share.
It appears that Google will soon have the upper hand, as the search giant has announced its digital assistant will be rolled out to all supported handsets powered by Android Nougat and Marshmallow.
The move is meant to grab as much market share as possible before other major players in the industry could strike deals with handset manufacturers for the addition of their own AI’s on their products.
