Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 8 will feature a dual-camera system similar to the one on the iPhone 7 Plus, but as compared to Apple, Samsung is pushing this approach one step further.
Well-known KGI analyst Ming-Chi Guo has reportedly said that the Note 8 will indeed feature dual cameras, but unlike Apple, Samsung would bet more on optical zoom. This means the Note 8 has big chances to come with 3x optical zoom, an improvement from the 2x offered by Apple on its bigger iPhone 7.
The Note 8 will arrive with a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and the analyst says that an optical image stabilization system will also be offered.
The new phablet will be unveiled on August 23 in New York and people close to the matter indicated that the top configuration could be priced at approximately $900.
