Users are reporting that some 2018 iPad Pros are being shipped already slightly bent. Apple says it’s true and that it’s not a defect.
Imagine ordering a 2018 iPad Pro and receiving its slightly bent. It’s not an ideal situation, but at least you figure that it’s not your fault. The problem arises when Apple says that they don’t consider it to be a defect, and you start to get that “hold the phone a different way for a better signal.”
Apple insisting that it’s not actually a problem falls well within the companies’ policy that feels a lot like the Narcissist’s Prayer. This is it in case you didn’t already know it:
“That didn’t happen.
And if it did, it wasn’t that bad.
And if it was, that’s not a big deal.
And if it is, that’s not my fault.
And if it was, I didn’t mean it.
And if I did…
You deserved it.”
Apple’s version is a little bit simpler. You only have to change a few words.
