It’s been a terrible half of the year for Samsung, as the company ordered two global recalls of its, now defunct, Galaxy Note 7 flagship, and one global recall for … washing machines. But Samsung is not the only one that’s been hit with these “explosion” issues, as there have been a few reports of iPhone 7 phones exploding as well.
However, since the battery technology hasn’t really made any leaps into the future, smartphone makers are constrained to use what they have at their disposal, and Li-ion batteries are the way to go for the moment.
